ROTHERHAM United have signed Iceland international Kari Arnason and manager Steve Evans has claimed it as “an exciting signing”.
Arnason, aged 29, played with Aberdeen last season and is a current international. Evans went to see him play against France for Iceland at the end of May when he was named Man of the Match.
“It is a staggering signing and people kept telling me we’d no chance of getting him, but we have and it’s a really exciting one,” said Evans.
Arnason, who is 6ft 3 ins and plays in central midfield, was out of contract at Aberdeen and does not cost a fee. He is Rotherham’s seventh signing so far.
