Rotherham (4-4-2)

Lee Camp 6

Excellent first-half save to keep out a Myles Kenlock far-post header. Might have got down quicker for Freddie Sears’ opener.

Darnell Fisher 7

Millers old boy Tom Lawrence got little change out of him. Good, solid, athletic showing.

Dael Fry 7

Another strong performance from the teenage centre-half who is learning quickly.

Richard Wood 9

The skipper led by example. Encouraged, cajoled and turned in an inspiring performance himself. Rock-solid.

Joe Mattock 7

Unspectacular, but another ex-Miller, Grant Ward, had little impact on the game up against him.

Jon Taylor 6

Too many risks in his own half, but always looking to be direct. Big header for Danny Ward’s first goal.

Greg Halford 5

Silly foul on Grant Ward led to the opener. Not on top form. Departed in the 35th minute with a calf injury.

Will Vaulks 8

His best display for the club. Relished the ‘dirty’ side of the game. Won headers and tackles, never stopped running and working.

Joe Newell 6

Decent delivery at times but more still needed from a player with a lot of talent.

Danny Ward 9

Another superb show in a superb season so far. Two goals and too much for the Ipswich defence.

Dexter Blackstock 5

Disappointing. Can be a big physical presence but never really worked his way into the game.

Substitutes

Dominic Ball 7

On for Halford and competed really well alongside Vaulks in the centre of midfield.

Peter Odemwingie

Replaced Taylor after 80 minutes but had no chance to show his Premier League pedigree on his debut.
