Rotherham United’s promotion push will be made with the players they already have.
Manager Steve Evans had said a week ago he’d be “disappointed” if he didn’t do some business but the deadline passed last night without any addition.
“There was the prospect of a young striker from a Premier League club and you can never have enough strikers but in the end we decided not to,” said Evans.
The Millers are at home to Bristol City with Evans warning of the excellent recent form of Steve Cotterill’s side capped by a stunning performance in a 5-0 demolition of Port Vale on Tuesday.
They are unbeaten in six and are set to welcome back key defender Adam El-Abd after suspension.
Rotherham have frozen prices, until May 9, for current season ticket holders for next season.
