Rotherham United loanee Danny Lafferty has been called into the Northern Ireland squad for the upcoming friendly with Scotland and the Euro 2016 qualifier with Finland.

The left-sided player, currently at the AESSEAL New York Stadium from Premier League Burnley, is drafted in due to injuries to Kilmarnock’s Sammy Clingan and Rangers’ loanee Shane Ferguson.

Lafferty has played twice for Millers since joining earlier this month and has 10 international caps, the last coming against Chile in a mini-tour of South America last summer.

Northern Ireland take on Scotland at Hampden on March 25 then face Finland at Windsor Park on March 29.
