Rotherham United man of the moment Alex Revell is hoping the club’s all-action style will keep them moving up the Championship table.

The Millers are unbeaten in five matches and the targetman’s three goals in the last three games have played a big part in their success.

The 31-year-old said: “We’re all learning. All the lads who have come in the summer are learning as well. We play one way, which is pure energy, and everyone in the team is learning that. We’re starting to show that belief and spirit.”

After back to back promotions, Rotherham have performed admirably in the second tier and are only four points off the top ten.

Revell added: “You have to find your feet. We’ve come up from League One and this is another level compared to League One.

“You make mistakes in this league and you get punished. That’s what happened in the first half at Brighton with their goal. We’ve had a couple of chances and not taken them, then they go down the other end and we’re 1-0 down.

“It’s all about learning from mistakes and cutting them out. We’ve got a great squad. We’ve got excellent players who have stepped up from League One and are producing performances every week in this league.

The Millers have drawn their last two matches, against Fulham and Brighton, when they could have won both, and Revell said:“We just ne ed to turn those draws into wins and hopefully climb up the table.”
