Steve Evans will never change his managerial style reckons his right hand man at Rotherham United.
Paul Raynor, his assistant manager, has worked alongside Evans for a number of years including at Boston United and Crawley Town before moving with him to Rotherham in April 2012.
“Steve is passionate about his football and you can see that in the way that he is,” said Raynor.
“People talk about his style of management but he had the drive and the passion to help this football club achieve the promotion every one wanted last season.
“Now, we all face new, fresh challenges this time but Steve Evans will do things the same, he’ll never change.
“He’s very opinionated, he knows what he wants and he gets across what he wants.
“Above all, he wants this club to continue to be successful and to win football matches, he’s not happy when we lose.”
Raynor - an equally vociferous voice on the touchline as his manager - said they were both enjoying the new challenge of League One.
“They are better players, better managers and better tactically and there are some different problems this season but we have full confidence in the ability of our players here,” added Raynor.
The Millers, at Brentford today, are without David Worrall for a further month after hernia surgery. He hasn’t figured since Aug 17.
