ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans strongly criticised the half-time conduct of referee Eddie Ilderton and has threatened to speak to the Football Association about it.

Evans launched an astonishing accusation at the official alleging that, among other things, he was rude to him and his coaching staff.

“We were returning for the second half and he was totally obnoxious, rude and embarrassing to me and my staff,” said Evans. “I intend to speak to the FA about it.”

The referee came in for criticism from the Millers and many fans for his display and Evans said: “He’ll not be pleased with his performance.”

David Noble was dismissed for two bookings a minute from half-time and misses tomorrow’s trip to Torquay whilst Michael O’Connor got a straight red late on and misses three matches.
