ROTHERHAM United are on course to sell-out the New York Stadium for the first league game on Saturday.
They are already assured of their best first home-game crowd for 30 years. If, as expected, it reaches double figures it would be the first time it has happened at an opening home game since 1968.
On that occasion, 10,285 were at Millmoor for the first home game after relegation to what is now League One.
They had only 1,000 tickets left yesterday for home sections with a surge expected in the final few days. With opponents Burton having sold only 600 so far, the club could even segregate the away end if there was extra demand.
