ROTHERHAM United have decided not to appeal against Alex Revell’s red card so the striker now faces a three-match ban.

The TV evidence of the striker’s challenge on Barnet’s David Stephens is inconclusive over whether there is contact so the club believe any appeal would have virtually no chance of succeeding.

Manager Steve Evans, who watched the game on a TV feed, described the decision as “harsh”, feeling it was worthy of no more than a booking. “We can study it but you have to be 100 per cent certain the referee got it wrong,” he said.
