A MIDFIELD place is up for grabs for Rotherham United on Saturday when they take on Southend United at the New York Stadium.

Kari Arnason misses out as he will be on international duty with Iceland and so manager Steve Evans will need to choose who partners Michael O’Connor in the centre of midfield.

Leading candidates are Jason Taylor and David Noble, the latter having been out since the Port Vale game on September 8. After it, he missed training for 10 days amidst reports he had a virus and was also sorting out some personal problems.
