MICHAEL O’Connor is in contention to feature at Hull City this weekend after coming through Rotherham United’s 3-1 triumph at Stamford last night unscathed.

The Northern Ireland international midfielder, one of manager Steve Evans’ first summer signings, got 90 minutes under his belt as the Millers cruised home thanks to goals from strikers Alex Revell (2) and Kieran Agard.

Jason Taylor limped off with a minor ankle knock after the break but he is expected to be available for selection for the first round Capital One Cup tie against the Tigers, who Evans watched in a friendly with Norwich yesterday.
