They say Magpies come in twos and that was the case for Rotherham United last night (writes Les Payne).
They firstly brought in right back James Tavernier and then, just before the loan deadline window closed at 5pm last night, added his Newcastle United colleague Haris Vuckic.
The 21-year-old striker, born in Slovenia, will be available for tomorrow’s home game with Gillingham once Premier League and Football League clearance is confirmed.
Tavernier, 22, has made a handful of Newcastle appearances and three loan spells including one at Wednesday two years ago.
Vuckic, capped once by Slovenia, has played 17 times for Newcastle and was on loan at Cardiff.
With only one right back due to Mark Bradley’s injury and with no cover for target man Alex Revell, Millers boss Steve Evans had to act.
