Home fans will have their first glimpse of Rotherham United’s new signings tonight.

The Millers take on Nottingham Forest in one of their biggest friendlies of pre-season as England legend Stuart Pearce brings his squad to New York Stadium.

Rotherham manager Steve Evans has brought in 11 players through the summer and several of them are expected to see action tonight.

The Millers decided to field a team of development players in the final match of of their Scottish tour, against Queen of the South last Saturday, rather than risk anybody being injured before tonight’s big clash (kick-off 7.3opm).

Forest, who have signed £2 million Crystal Palace right-back Jack Hunt on loan, will be without star midfielder Henri Lansbury and have a batch of defenders also on the injured list.

Rotherham have unveiled their squad numbers for next season, but there are no clues as to which players are in line for starting roles.

Existing players from last season have kept their regular numbers, with the new boys being assigned numbers of their choice or those made available by players leaving. The full list is: 1 Scott Loach, 2 Richard Brindley, 3 Joe Skarz, 4 Kari Arnason, 5 Kirk Broadfoot, 6 Richard Wood, 7 Ryan Hall, 8 Lee Frecklington, 9 Alex Revell, 10 Jordan Bowery, 11 Paul Green, 14 Mark Bradley, 15 Robert Milsom, 16 Frazer Richardson, 17 Conor Newton, 18 Ben Pringle, 19 Mat Sadler, 20 Craig Morgan, 21 Adam Collin, 22 Kieran Agard, 23 Michael Tidser, 24 Febian Brandy, 27 Matt Derbyshire.
