Have your say

ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans has revealed he had a “heart-to-heart” talk with recalled defender Johnny Mullins the night before Saturday’s 1-0 win in the rain at Exeter.

“We had a long chat, I admitted there may have been errors on my part and asked that we both be honest and truthful,” said Evans.

“If he’s willing to play at his best, be committed and fight and not say that if he’s not playing then he wants to leave, well... the playing situation was explained and he said he wants to stay and fight and he gave a sterling performance.”

The win took the Millers above Exeter into seventh before their game in hand tomorrow night at Accrington.

Young midfielder Mitch Rose received a red card in the last minute just five minutes after going on and Evans acknowledged the referee got it right.
