Kieran Agard may have left, but manager Steve Evans has rubbished claims that Ben Pringle could be next out of the door.
Reports linked the midfielder with a move to Hull City, but Evans retorted: “It’s just an absolutely, wildly wrong, stupid, ridiculous story.
“Some agent must have had a glass of wine too many to suggest it and a reporter must have had two bottles to many to write it.
“I know Hull City’s manager. I know what Big Brucie (Steve Bruce) stands for.
“He’s bigger than I am and he’d be phoning me up and telling me he had an interest in our player.”
The Millers boss is still seeking new additions to his squad.
“We need to find some players. We’re in the market now looking. We’ve got some offers out there,” he said.
“But we have a structure and we’re not going to break it.
“We agreed fees in the last week with a club, but we couldn’t agree personal terms.
“I don’t know if anything will happen before the weekend. We’re in talks now with one club about a loan player.
“In terms of permanent additions, it’s probably gone a bit too far now towards Saturday and the difficult trip to Millwall.”
Evans says midfielder Paul Green is likely to be out for about three weeks after suffered a foot injury in midweek against Watford.
