ROTHERHAM United should learn shortly how long winger Lionel Ainsworth and right back Dale Tonge are likely to be missing for after both were injured on Saturday.

Ainsworth dislocated a shoulder when slipping during the pre-match routines. Manager Steve Evans has said it could be a two-month absence and any necessity for an operation would only be decided when they know the severity of the injury.

Tonge injured knee ligaments in the first few minutes: “He opened up his medial ligaments and that could be two or three weeks,” said Evans. Both will miss next Saturday’s FA Cup tie at home to Stevenage.

The Millers - whose reserve team game at home to Mansfield at Parkgate (2pm) has been brought forward to tomorrow - secured a third straight win with the 1-0 defeat of Plymouth.
