ALEX Revell has said he wants to stay and fight for his place at Rotherham United after they accepted a £100,000 bid for him.

The tall striker, who arrived from Orient last September, turned down the opportunity and said he wants to be part of the club’s plans.

The identity of the club has not been revealed but newly-promoted Crawley, now managed by ex-Miller Richie Barker, are understood to have been monitoring the player who once played at Brighton.

Left back Laurence Wilson, injured last Saturday, will be fit for the league opener with Burton Albion with a 10,000 plus gate looking a possibility.
