The decision on whether Luciano Becchio will play for Rotherham United again rests with the specialist who was due to examine him in London yesterday.

The loan striker has a fractured heel, and boss Steve Evans said: “We’re in the hands of the healing process.”

Becchio was signed on loan by the Millers on transfer deadline day from Norwich City until January.

He sustained the injury last week in a behind-closed doors match during the international break and initial estimates suggested he would be out for at least six weeks.

Meanwhile, Rotherham centre-half Kari Arnason was named man of the match after Iceland’s 2-0 win at home to Holland in their Group A Euro 2016 qualifier.

Iceland are now in pole position in the group with three wins from their opening three matches during which they have scored eight goals and conceded none.

Left-back Mat Sadler has extended his loan at old club Crawley Town for another month. He joined Rotherham from Town in pre-season but was unable to oust Joe Skarz from the side.
