ROTHERHAM United have restored balance to their defence by bringing in left-back Bob Harris from Blackpool.
The 25-year-old Scot arrives on a month’s loan and looks set to make his debut against Chris Wilder’s Oxford United at the New York Stadium on Saturday.
The Millers had no genuine left-sided cover for first choice left-back Laurie Wilson who has been out for three matches with a knee injury.
He had a scan this week and, with no instant return likely, then Evans decided to act.
Harris has played once in The Championship for the Seasiders this season and had a handful of games last season after joining from Queen of the South.
“I have said that when we add to the squad, we want to add sufficient quality to what we have and I believe we have done so here,” said manager Steve Evans.
Dale Tonge has filled in at left-back and has earned praise from Evans.
The Millers will give a late fitness test to Kari Arnason.
They are prepared to wait until tomorrow morning to see if the Icelandic international is available. Millers No 2 Paul Raynor said that they were hopeful.
