Steve Evans is happy to focus on Rotherham United’s Championship campaign after his side impressed in defeat to Premier League opposition in the Capital One Cup second round in midweek.

“We performed with credit,” he said “If you break it down to clear-cut chances, Swansea got their goal and had two other good chances. We’ve had two very good chances, one to Frecks (Lee Frecklington) and one to Conor (Newton), and a couple of half-chances. And there’s also the one where Alex Revell goes through and their defender shows remarkable pace to get back.

“I didn’t shed any tears on the coach on the way home and when I woke in the morning I didn’t shed any then.”
