Millers manager Steve Evans says the passionate backing of the fans is helping drive the team on.
He has asked the fans to ensure they keep up their backing and make it as vocal as possible in the final stages.
“It’s quite clear the fans are loving this season,” said the Millers manager whose side entertain Walsall this afternoon.
“We have had great backing away from home, some of the numbers have been incredible, and it’s great for players when they see the reception they have been getting at both home and away.
“We need the fans to be loud as possible as we come towards a critical stage of the season - it definitely is squeaky bum time as Sir Alex (Ferguson) would say.
“The crowd has been great at home and the fans really have responded to this group of players. I think they are a special group and we are all in this together and so let’s make a push together.”
Walsall, also chasing a Play-off place, arrive without a win in eight but manager Dean Smith says they are out to spring a shock.
“Rotherham are on fire at the moment and I saw them recently at Preston and they are a very good side,” said Smith whose side are regarded as one of the best passing teams in the division.
“But we have shown we can compete with the leading teams and we are going for the win because we need to get them to get near the Play-offs.”
