ROTHERHAM United have lined up goalkeeper Conrad Logan as their eighth signing.
Logan, aged 25, is with Leicester City, where he has been since joining the Academy seven years ago, but trained with the Millers on Saturday.
The club have lined up a six-month loan deal and it means they begin their build-up to the first pre-season friendly at Grimsby on Saturday with three goalkeepers as he joins Jamie Annerson and Andy Warrington.
The experienced Warrington has been told his contract won’t be renewed in a year’s time.
Logan, 6ft 2in and from Donegal in the Republic of Ireland, knows what it’s like to win promotion from League Two - he was on loan at Stockport and played 34 times for them including when they won the League Two Play-off Final at Wembley in 2008, beating Rochdale who had Adam Le Fondre in their side.
He was on loan at Bristol Rovers in League One last season, playing 11 times, and made seven appearances for Leicester last season.
Rotherham play Logan’s club, Leicester, in the first round of the Carling Cup.
The Millers may not have finished recruiting despite bring in seven outfield players and a keeper. They can all expect to see action in Saturday’s friendly at Blundell Park against the Blue Square Bet Premier League club.
