More still to come from Millers hit-man Harrad

SHAUN Harrad endeared himself immediately to the Rotherham United faithful by scoring on his debut at Southend United.

The striker, on loan from Bury, netted first at Roots Hall, followed by a goal from Alex Revell against his former club, to enhance the Millers top seven credentials.

Bearing in mind Harrad had started a game since mid-November, it was a supreme effort from the 27-year-old to play the entire 90 minutes on Friday night. His all round game will only improve the more matches he gets under his belt.

I’ve paired Harrad with Ched Evans up front after the Welsh international bagged his 19th goal of the campaign in Sheffield United’s comfortable 3-0 success over relegation-threatened Wycombe Wanderers.

In the centre of midfield, it is difficult to leave out Blades duo Michael Doyle and Kevin McDonald. Doyle created the opener at Bramall Lane, his cross being turned home by Will Hoskins while McDonald deservedly opened his account, although his strike took a huge deflection.

Jermaine Johnson grabbed his fourth goal in six outings and sparkled throughout Sheffield Wednesday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at Exeter City. The Jamaican international gets the nod on the right wing and Sam Wood is on the opposite flank.

Consistent United performer Matthew Lowton impressed defensively and on the counter attack so he’s at right-back. Scott Griffiths also caught the eye in Rotherham’s best win of the season.

Along with Johnson, Spanish defender Miguel Llera was one of the few positives to come out of the Owls trip to St James Park and makes the cut in the middle with Richard Naylor. Millers goalkeeper Rhys Taylor completes the line-up.
