MANAGER Ronnie Moore has called on his Rotherham United side to ensure they put a stop to their current run and turn it round against struggling Stockport County at the Don Valley Stadium today.
“We’ve lost three on the trot and it’s not nice so we’ve to do something about it and quickly,” said Moore.
“That means today. If you lose a couple of games then you want to start winning again as soon as possible and tomorrow gives us that opportunity.”
Moore was critical of the team’s display in the 3-0 defeat at Stevenage on Tuesday, the heaviest of the season.
“I wasn’t happy but no-one was and the players will want to show they are better than that. To be fair, they have been virtually all season.
“But we still have to go out and show it, deal with what happened the other night and come out strongly in response.”
New signing Ian Thomas-Moore is set to make his debut against Stockport, one of his former clubs. He could start on the left.
Meanwhile, after Thomas-Moore’s arrival, fellow striker Tom Pope has joined promotion rivals Port Vale on loan.
Pope, a lifelong Vale fan and from that area, has started seven games this season and appeared as a sub on eight other occasions.
He can’t play against Rotherham for Port Vale on Tuesday.
