Have your say

Should it come as any great surprise that Rotherham United’s early season flourish took a backward step over the past month?

Anyone who goes back to the last Saturday in September (when the Millers were preparing to defend their unbeaten record against Peterborough United) might just have been pondering what lay ahead as they assessed the forthcoming fixtures.

Ahead of them at that stage lay teams like Walsall, Brentford, MK Dons, Swindon and Leyton Orient not to mention Ronnie Moore wanting to get a result on the return to his old club with Tranmere.

Hand on heart, did anyone really expect the Millers to emerge utterly unscathed from that little lot?

Perhaps the great win at Brentford raised certain expectations even higher but the realists knew that it would take something special to keep on going full steam ahead.
