Millers still aim for Coid

Have your say

Rotherham United are still pursuing their bid to bring back Danny Coid and although they remain hopeful it appears it is starting to look increasingly less likely.

Further efforts have been made to try and land the right back although Rotherham would only be able to have him for a month as he has already had a two-month loan spell with the Millers and three months is the maximum loan period.

His club Blackpool want him to go out for three months, effectively to the end of the season, but what also has to be taken into account is the final transfer deadline at the end of March when Coid would need to be clear to move either on loan or permanently.

No date yet for the Shrewsbury home game, off on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch. The first available midweek date appears to be Tuesday, March 29 as Rotherham have two Tuesday games and two away on successive Fridays, March 18 (Chesterfield) and March 25 (Lincoln).
