ROTHERHAM United manager Andy Scott has played down the prospect of signing new recruit Conrad Logan on a permanent basis.
The Millers captured the 25-year-old goalkeeper on a six-month loan deal from Leicester City yesterday.
Logan has one year left to run of his contract at the King Power Stadium but Scott believes he will be offered a new deal should he perform consistently well during his loan spell at Rotherham.
Scott said: “They (Leicester) see big things for Conrad. Hopefully we can push it (the loan) on and take it until the end of the season.”
Logan, the club’s eighth summer signing, is ineligible to play in the first round Carling Cup tie against his home club on August 9. “He went to Bristol Rovers last year and nearly kept them up so he will come in and add more competition,” said Scott.
The Millers are reportedly tracking Peterborough United left-back Scott Griffiths.
