ROTHERHAM United have received a season-ticket sales boost ahead of their final season at Don Valley Stadium.
The club has already surpassed last season’s sales figure and the discount deadline does not run out until tomorrow.
“We’re already 10 per cent up on last season’s sales and that’s really encouraging for everyone,” said the club’s commercial director, Steve Coakley.
“I speak to a lot of other clubs and their season-ticket sales are down so it is good that we should be up.
“There have been a lot of signings, supporters have been boosted with the news over the new stadium and we are doing a lot of work off the field.”
With a final discount deadline on season tickets up tomorrow at 5pm, the club expect a late surge.
The Millers have issued a warning to fans to buy their tickets for next week’s friendly with Sheffield Wednesday before 5pm on Monday.
“It is an all-ticket game on police advice and none will be on sale on the day. Our supporters must purchase bey 5pm Monday,” said a club spokesman. “Initial sales have been slow and we need to remind our fans.”
The club’s Open Day at DVS is on Sunday, July 31 (10am-2pm) aimed at all the family, with plauyers and staff there.
