Danny Harrison is set to be recalled to the Rotherham United colours for tonight's trip to Stevenage.
He is to fill the midfield vacancy left by Jason Taylor's sending-off at Wycombe on Saturday, an offence that incurs a three-match ban and will also include Saturday's home game with Stockport and next Tuesday's trip to promotion rivals Port Vale.
Harrison was first choice, along with Taylor, at the start of this season and the pair formed an effective centre-midfield partnership.
But Harrison lost his place at the beginning of October and, although a regular in the matchday squad, he has made just two starts subsequently, the last of them in the FA Cup tie at home to York City on November 6.
Manager Ronnie Moore, his team three without a win, says he is anticipating a tough, physical test on the club's first ever trip to Stevenage,
Exodus Geohaghon has joined Port Vale on loan.
