NEW Millers signing Sam Hoskins says he’s under no illusions about what he wants and what he expects when he tastes life in League Two.

“I’m up for the challenge, I want to get stuck in and I know I’ll get kicked but that’s all part of first team football,” said the 19-year-old striker who is here from Southampton to the end of the season.

“Southampton said go out and get some experience and I think it’s great moving well away from home, to somewhere like Rotherham,” said Hoskins.

“I’ve been in the reserves but the time comes when you want to experience first team football and I want to do that. I know it will be more physical but I’m up for that challenge.

“If I show what I can do I can go back to Southampton with my prospects improved. Firstly, it’s about trying to help Rotherham make those Play-offs.”
