ROTHERHAM United manager Andy Scott believes training ground work has had an early pay-off with their winning start to the season.
“There are things that we’ve worked on that have paid off and certainly we saw a reward at Crewe,” said Scott ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Barnet.
“We have shown a resilience and determination, were solid defensively and the positive thing is that people can see the results are coming because of the things we are doing. That gives them more belief.”
Scott says players are inconsistent as this level but added: “One consistent thing you can always get is work rate and work ethic; they are things you can build on. Being united as a team as we have done in pre-season has paid off and that bodes well for the rest of the season.”
