Rotherham United beat Alfreton Town 2-0 at the Impact Stadium with goals from Matt Derbyshire and Jerry Yates.

For the Alfreton clash he stuck largely with the side which hammered Parkgate FC 9-1 on Saturday, bringing in only defender Kirk Broadfoot and midfield man Michael Tidser.

The Millers were generally on top in the first half, with Tidser showing up well in midfield, but the Conference Premier outfit were tidy and had their own dangerous moments.
After the break the visitors broke the deadlock when on 56 minutes Derbyshire ran onto a long ball and capitalised on indecision from goalkeeper Jon Stewart for his second goal his consecutive matches.
