ROTHERHAM United players will be getting Christmas Day at home with the family.
Boss Andy Scott won’t be calling them in for a training session the day before the game at Macclesfield on Boxing Day.
“It’s something I believe in, letting the players be at home on Christmas Da, because it’s a family day,” said Scott.
“We will be in on Christmas Eve and I can trust players to look after themselves on Christmas Day. They’ll appreciate the time with their families and then be ready for the Macclesfield game.”
Scott added; “I think this is an important little three-game spell for us because he have two tricky away games and then are at home to Bradford City before we have a mini-break as we haven’t a game on January 7.
“We want to pick up some points and keep ourselves in a challenging position.”
Scott is also closer to seeing injury victims defender Ryan Cresswell and striker Gareth Evans return.
