STEVE Evans, the Rotherham United manager, is looking to bring in another five new players as he continues to restructure his squad.
Fresh from signing Ian Sharps, Nicky Hunt and Scott Shearer last week, Evans has outlined the positions he is aiming to improve before the club report back for pre-season training in July.
He said: “We are in talks with a number of players. We are still four or five away from the squad we want. I will continue to work with Paul Douglas and chairman Tony Stewart and we will do what is right for the football club.”
Evans, who has confirmed his former club, Crawley Town, remain interested in signing Millers star striker Lewis Grabban, wants competition for places in all departments.
“As a minimum, we need a left-back, a central midfield player, possibly two, and a winger,” he said. “It would also be great if we could add another striker but if Lewis stays, we would not need to think about that given the quality that lad has.”
