ROTHERHAM United boss Andy Scott has promised to clamp down on the ‘outrageous’ distances his players are travelling on matchdays.
Scott, who is still seeking his first win at the helm following his appointment last month, has expressed his concern at the amount of injuries the club are sustaining on a regular basis and feels it could be due to travelling.
“It’s an issue that I will be addressing,” he said. “If they [the players] are going to be committed to Rotherham United, then they have to live nearer. If not, they aren’t going to be any use and I’m not going to be paying their wages for them to be sat on the touchline being injured. Some of the distances the lads are travelling is outrageous.”
