ROTHERHAM United’s bid to improve the match fitness of some of their players has been dealt a blow.

The reserve-team game with Bradford City this afternoon has been called off due to a frozen pitch.

The intention was for central defender Ryan Cresswell, out since September, and midfielder Mark Bradley, out since October, to get back into action after lengthy absences.

In addition it was an opportunity to blood new recruit Scott Griffiths, who hasn’t played since December 17 and Richard Naylor, out since mid-November.
