TWO players at different ends of the pitch are both playing for their futures according to reports this week.
Wednesday ‘keeper Richard O’Donnell is trying to win a new contract from the Owls while United’s Ched Evans is attracting the attention of other clubs with his recent run of good form.
S20 Owl said on thestar.co.uk that O’Donnell should remain in S6: “It would be silly not to offer RO’D a new contract, from what I’ve seen he could be top class.”
Kojam agreed that the Walkley lad deserved to put pen to paper on a deal: “He’s done more than enough for me, when he has been called upon in games he has made some top stops! A local lad and a Wednesdayite too? Course Meggo will offer him a contract, be silly not to.
United fan DexterMorgan said on thestar.co.uk he can’t work out the fuss over Evans: “Come off it! A few months ago most Blades fans, myself included, were bemoaning the fact that Ched wasn’t worth the dosh and that he had failed to deliver. Now we are in the third division and Ched is scoring again.”
Manorblade wants to keep him: “I’m not saying Ched is worth the money but he’s having a good season so far. So do we sell all our better players and risk not making the play-offs or take a risk keep our players show a little faith in our manager and the team and go for it?”
