SIGN Stephen Bywater up. That is the message from the Sheffield Wednesday fans online.
The goalkeeper’s three-month loan stint at Hillsborough expires after today’s Yorkshire derby clash with Huddersfield Town.
Strigidae posted on thestar.co.uk: “Got to admit that we have tightened up since Bywater came, not just coincidence I think. Remember reading something along the lines when he joined from Derby that he was not in the plans at Pride park and never would be. Think we could do with him and would like him here, but not a disaster if it does not happen.”
Iwl86 added: “Hope we get Bywater back in January. In my opinion, he’s better than Weaver, who is far too injury prone, and the last thing we need is inconsistencies, especially in the goalkeeping department.”
On the other side of the city, Sheffield United fans are also eager to see some transfer activity next month as they look to enhance their promotion prospects.
CB1889 said: “It’s key for the Blades to not be weakened in January and we can look on to a positive final five months of the season.”
