THE jumble at the top end of League One shows no sign of sorting itself out just yet as both the Blades and the Owls continue to battle for automatic promotion.
The Star’s Dom Howson tried to make sense of it all with his predictions, which saw United second Wednesday third, MK Dons fourth and Huddersfield fifth.
Gerimo on thestar.co.uk disagreed: “Not with United’s flimsy squad. A few injuries and suspensions will see them off.”
SteelCityBlue thought United were mentally frail: “When the pressure is on the blunts bottle it. Pressure on Charlton big time if they lose another and the gap closes.”
Samspam was more worried about another Yorkshire team: “Huddersfield in fifth. Whatever emotional reason I have to question second and third. I look at those two and see Huddersfield as the team most likely to put us both in the play-offs.”
Handsworth preferred to bide his time before making any predictions: “The finishing line is not in sight. As the saying goes it is not over until the fat lady sings and there are quite a few more choruses yet.”
Meanwhile, Ldn Rd Blade responded to reports linking two players with moves away from Bramall Lane: “If we don’t go up I can understand Willo and Lowton going but if we go up why move? I know the budget will be tight but can Derby and Burnley really afford much higher wages? If we go up we probably won’t be pushing for promotion but will those two either?”
