lots of happy campers from both sides of the Sheffield divide after wins for the Owls and the Blades on Saturday.

In S6, Wednesdayites took to the message boards to announce their devotion to a new saviour. Jesus scores, as well as saves apparently. David Prutton, he of the Nazarethean hair-do, and side-kick Jose Semedo were feeling the love on OwlsTalk.

philkingsmullet wrote: “Looks a class above. Breaks up play, plays the simple pass, spots the tricky pass and isnt afraid to play it. I’m buying a hair band. puppydogben added: “We finally have a midfield. So happy.” bringbackbenni revelled: “Got to say before ‘that’ goal i was thinking how good Semedo was but they were both top class.”

And Himble suggested: “Looked a totally different class to our midfield of last year, Prutton amazing and Semedo doing a job well. Remember the Regi wigs from the Megastore... time for the Jesus wigs?”

On thestar.co.uk steelcityblue couldn’t resist a small dig as he celebrated a Sheffield double: “Good start against a team who finished 10 points above us in 10/11. Good turn out too. 5th highest of the day, Forest, Derby, S’hampton, Cov, getting higher. And double all gates from the pub league (except hudders @ 13k) we need to keep it going now. I was surprised at the giant killing at Oldham! There was a very noisey car load heading back over M62 I heard.”

awreetthen on thestar.co.uk was taking the United win with a pinch of salt: “Amazing stunning victory by the Blades! United the best team in England! Wilson is best manager! McCabe is the best chairman! Bramall Lane is the best stadium! Then I remembered who we were playing against and in which League. Think I’ll dream on. Welcome to Bladeworld.”

While over on Blades’ fans forum Unitedite the glass was only half-full. Thechairman said: “Third shot and we score. One of the good young uns must get him off and sold. Bloomin eck Cresswell scores. Was he still following the previous shot up?”

And Fred Emney mulled: “Despite the presence of the four flops, a satisfactory result. Danny said he played workers in the main to negate Oldham. Not pretty but on this occasion effective, can`t see it working everytime with this lot though.”
