PARKGATE got back to winning ways with a 3-2 win over Winterton Rangers at Green Lane in the Baris NCEL Premier Division.

Two goals from Nathan Forbes-Swindells - taking his tally to 13 - plus one from Adam Shepherd secured the points which leaves them six points behind joint leaders Bridlington and Retford Utd.

Staveley MW, after one point from the last three games, got winning again when Ryan Damms netted a 73rd minute penalty for his 14th goal of the season to see off Long Eaton 1-0.

Tonight Staveley, fifth, go to Scarborough who are a place and two points above them.

It’s just one defeat in 10 for Armthorpe Welfare who beat Arnold Town 2-0 through Henry Sibenge in the first half and Ben Muirhead in stoppage time.

Maltby Main were massively improved despite losing 3-2 at Bottesford Town with Scott Whittington and Lee Clay netting for Maltby.

In Division One, Handsworth slumped to a third straight home defeat, 1-0 by Louth Town whilst Hallam let Adam Todd’s half-time penalty lead slip as they lost 3-1 at Eccleshill United. Worsbrough Bridge’s stunning 7-1 win at Park Road against Yorkshire Amateur extended their undefeated run to five games.

Adam Podmore’s hat-trick, two from Teo Ringrose plus Scott Ruthvern and Scott Turner completed the rout.

Mark Vickerage got a hat-trick in Askern Villa’s 4-0 beating of Dinnington. Jay Rollins also scored. Worksop Parramore stay top after Andy Wood’s goal beat Shirebrook.
