Old Boys not so glad after defeat

ACORN booked their place in the fourth round of the Doncaster Highfield Property Sunday Alliance League KO Cup with a 2-1 win at Glad Old Boys, for whom David Flowitt netted.

Armthorpe Coronation banked maximum points in their Premier Division clash at Adam & Eve. Tony Hyde led the way with a hat-trick and there were goals by Danny Wilson, Darren Drobac and Lee Drobac. Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes won 3-1 away to local local rivals Bentley Top Club.

A five-goal haul by James Batchelor laid the foundations for Athletico Pegler's 9-0 win at lowly Conisbrough Conyers. Lee Cook, James Naylor, Robert Allan and Daniel Reed all chipped in with single strikes.

Blake Freeman scored the only goal of the game in Rockingham Hotel's 1-0 win over ACS. Robert Hodgson and Dean Wiffen shared the Rhino's goals in their 2-2 Championship draw against visiting Auckley. Stainforth posted a 4-1 win over Styrupp, with Toll Bar claiming a 3-0 victory over Eden Grove. White Hart (3-1) saw off Finningley Athletic. Luke Dart and Ryan Evans combined to secure AFC Rovers a 2-0 Division One win Hatfield Celtic.

Carcroft Village had to settle for a Gareth Rushton consolation when going down 8-1 at home to Sprotbrough.

Sprotbrough Country Club beat visiting Askern Railway 3-0. Wadworth Sports beat Division Two rivals Adwick Park Rovers by the odd goal in three.

Armthorpe Albion romped to a 7-2 win over ASD Lighting. Craig Wren bagged a brace for the home side with Carl Scotting, Gary Smith, Stephen Bell, Greg Delves and Daniel Pettit also chipping in with goals. Rosehill Press won 3-1 at Carpenters Arms.

Brodsworth United beat HPK 7-4 in a high-scoring game. Darren Bird notched a hat-trick for the visitors with Bryan McDermott bagging a brace. Lee Parker (2) and Karl Hayes and Liam Wright shared out the HPK goals. Olive Tree lost 3-1 at home to Hawthorn with AFC Cusworth crashing to a 6-0 defeat at Sportsman Inter Stella. Edlington Top Club also had their shooting boots on, scoring seven goals without reply at home to Division Three rivals Grove Carvery. Thomas Hall (2), Yan Johnson and James Cammack secured Palfrey's Lodge a point from a 4-4 draw with visiting Super Yorkshire Tyres. Tank dished out a 4-2 beating to Armthorpe Village.

Skellow Rangers drew 2-2 at Tonik, for whom Shelton and Atherton netted.

Keiran Ferguson and Matthew Lucas were the Balby Academy of Sport marksmen in their 2-1 win at Waggies. Acorn Blinds won 4-0 at Balby Rovers. Hesley and White Swan Balby battled out a 3-3 draw. Leger Lions roared to a 3-1 win at Horse & Groom. Ingram Arms accounted for Harvester 5-2. South Kirkby Colliery beat White Hart Colts 6-4. Goals by Paul Herring and Keiran Falcus failed to save Cantley Rovers from a 4-2 Division Five defeat at home to Campsall.

Edenthorpe Toby Carvery and Yorkshire Grey United shared four goals. Lowly Ivanhoe lost 3-0 at home to The Glasshouse. A Steven Davidson hat-trick laid the foundations for Hatfield Woodhouse's 4-0 win over Brazil Boys. Richard Sands completed the scoring. Scott Wilson, Dean Griffiths, John Griffiths and Luke Wilkinson helped secure Rossington United a 5-0 win over Drum Misfits.

Bessacarr lost 3-1 at The Bay Horse.
