Stocksbridge Park Steels slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Whitby Town to leave Gary Marrow’s side without a win in the last five.
Both goals came in the first half with Steels going behind on nine minutes when Town’s Matt Tymon sprung the offside trap running onto a long ball to steer a shot past keeper Ben Scott.
Stocksbridge went two-nil down on 38 minutes through a David McTiernan header following a cross from the lively Callum Martin.
Worksop ended their eight match winless run, beating Buxton 2-1 at Sandy Lane. James Cotterill and Mark Hudson were on target for the hosts before Spencer Weir-Daley struck a late consolation.
