Worksop Town ended a run of three defeats on the spin but had to be content with just a point from a goalless draw against relegation threatened Nantwich Town at Cannon Park last night.
Luke Beckett and Ben Tomlinson both had goals ruled out for offside in the first half. The Tigers continued to press for the breakthrough after the interval but came up against a Nantwich keeper in good form. Danny Bacon saw his free-kick well saved then Tomlinson had an effort pushed onto the crossbar, while Michael Simpkins saw his late far post header scrambled clear.
Frickley Athletic saw their relegation fears deepen with a 4-1 defeat at promotion chasers FC United of Manchester despite Ashley Burbeary giving them a 22nd minute lead from the penalty spot.
United stormed back to win comfortably and leave Frickley two points adrift of safety.
