A teenage football fan has become a squad coach in a dream job at his community club.
Seventeen-year-old Dylan Collins will work with youngsters in the new Shiregreen Sports Football Team.
The Shiregreen resident scored the role after taking part in a community football and fitness project with Sanctuary Housing, where he qualified as a coach.
And the team he coaches has already won group one of the Sheffield Flexi Footie League in their first season.
Dylan, also a trainee coach for Sheffield Wednesday’s community programme, said: “The spirit in the team is fantastic, I’m so proud of all the guys for winning the season.
“Sanctuary’s project has allowed me to realise my dream of becoming a football coach and I can’t wait to see what my future holds.”
The project is run with Sheffield Wednesday’s community programme. Those who took part enjoyed football training from qualified coaches and the chance to improve their physical health, confidence and training.
Dylan completed a Football Association level one award and a National Citizen Service course.
