Sheffield FC booked a trip to Frickley Athletic in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round after coming through their replay at Shirebrook Town 4-0 last night.
Club took a 1-0 lead courtesy of a Warren Burrell header from Matt Roney’s corner. They doubled it from another set piece, this time Mark Fereday nodding home from a Roney free-kick. Club put the tie beyond Shirebrook with an excellent finish from James Gregory before Joel Purkiss added.
Worksop Parramore are also through beating Evo-Stik Division One side Mossley 3-2 in their replay.
Stocksbridge Park Steels went 3-2 in the Evo Stik Premier against Buxton at Bracken Moor. Craig King gave the visitors a 10th minute lead with Spencer Harris doubling the advantage with a 24th minute header. Steels pulled one back when Chris Bettney’s free-kick was volleyed home by Nathan Joynes giving former Millers keeper Andy Warrington no chance.
Buxton restored their two-goal cushion through ex-Chesterfield player Derek Niven’s deflected effort. Joynes reduced the arrears from the penalty spot.
In the NCEL Hallam shared the spoils from a 1-1 home draw with Grimsby Borough, Brad Samson with the Countrymen’s goal on 33 minute.
