Sheffield FC went out of the Senior Cup, beaten 1-0 in the semi-finals at Frickley Athletic last night.

In a scrappy game Club shaded the first half without really threatening, with Frickley edging the second 45 minutes in a tie that looked destined for extra time.

However, in the very last minute, a mix-up between goalkeeper Josh Mimms and his defence allowed Danny South to nip in for the winner.

Frickley will now face either Worksop Town or Penistone Church who meet later this month in the final at Hillsborough on Tuesday, May 8.

Parkgate were beaten 3-0 at Armthorpe Welfare in the Baris NCEL Premier Division. Richard Smith, with a near-post header, gave the home side a 37th-minute lead, with Henry Sibenge doubling the advantage three minutes after the break.

Sibenge grabbed his second 10 minutes from time to wrap up the points.

Worksop Parramore won 1-0 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic to go second in Division One.

Gavin Allott scored the only goal of the game just after the half-hour mark with a miss-hit shot that bounced over substitute goalkeeper Jarrod Oxley. The Briggers had a late shout for a penalty turned down when Lee Garside was bundled over.

Staveley suffered more cup agony. Just four days after going out of the FA Vase the Miners lost out 2-1 in the quarte-finals of the League Cup at Barton Town Old Boys.
