Parkgate climbed up to eighth in the NCEL Premier Division after coming from a goal down at Green Lane to beat Liversedge 4-2.
The visitors were ahead when Curtis McMahon was left with a simple tap-in but the Steelmen turned the game around with two quick-fire goals. Sam Smith volleyed in a fine equaliser on 25 minutes and just three minutes later Jamie Smith pounced on a loose ball to put the home side 2-1 up.
Chris Hurst equalised in the 53rd minute but Parkgate piled on the pressure and retook the lead on 77 minutes as Martyn Lee headed in Steve Brammer’s pinpoint cross before Tom Roebuck slotted home the fourth in stoppage time.
Maltby Main, back in action for the first time in a month, slipped to a 3-1 defeat at in-form Retford United.
Adam Scott gave the Badgers a fifth minute lead but Matt Plant quickly equalised. Scott then hit his and Retford’s second with Craig Aspinall wrapping up the points eight minutes from time.
Staveley MW ended a run of seven league defeats with a battling 3-3 draw at Armthorpe Welfare after coming from behind three times to snatch a last gasp equaliser.
Worksop Parramore suffered their first defeat of 2013 with a 3-0 reversal at Pickering Town.
In Division One, Hallam slipped to a fourth game without a win following a 4-3 defeat at Rossington Main. Ben Hunter put the home side in front on 34 minutes with a fine 25-yard effort before Hallam hit back to lead 2-1. Liam Morris clipped home the equaliser a minute before the break then Danny Deakin nodded in at the far post to put the Countrymen ahead on 54 minutes.
Rossington hit back to equalise 10 minutes later through a Hunter penalty, who then fired the home side back in front on 84 minutes to complete his hat-trick. Nathan Fraser slotted home the hosts fourth on 90 minutes.
Adam Carter pulled one back in stoppage time.
