There were wins for Stocksbridge Park Steels and Sheffield FC in Evo-Stik Division One South last night.
Steels beat relegated Brigg Town 4-0 at Bracken Moor. Richard Stirrup gave Stocksbridge a 13th-minute lead, chipping the ball over the keeper from Rory Coleman’s long ball.
Stocksbridge doubled their lead on 64 minutes when Harrison Biggins’ cross was deflected in.
Biggins made the points safe with the third on 81 minutes before Brad Grayson added the fourth two minutes from time.
Sheffield FC came from behind to win 2-1 at Chasetown.
The home side went in front on seven minutes but Joel Purkiss equalised just two minutes later and Jordan Broadbent’s men won the match on 50 minutes through Jamie Gregory
In the Premier Division, relegation-threatened Frickley Athletic saw their survival hopes dealt a blow with a 2-0 defeat at Belper Town.
