Worksop edged past Athersley Recreation 1-0 at Cannon Park, Ben Tomlinson scoring after just four minutes.
Tomlinson was denied a second when his 20-yard effort was well saved by Athersley goalkeeper Tim Whitehouse before injury forced the striker off before the break.
Worksop’s Jon Worsnop pulled off an excellent save from to foil Luke Sykes in time added on to prevent the visitors forcing extra-time.
